Our Approach is to ensure quality training programs. Our classes are team-taught and include a combination of lecture sessions, hands-on activities, tabletop and full-scale exercises. Because we know how hard it is to arrange for employees to travel to training classes, we can bring our training to your location. Our trainers bring a wealth of experience from hazardous materials emergency response, fire fighting, environmental investigations, hazardous waste management, incident command, and emergency management/planning. Our staff's education background includes fire science, environmental engineering/environmental science, chemical engineering, biological sciences and industrial safety. McKinzie has developed and delivered training programs that meet the demands of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations, particularly those involving hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER), for hazardous waste site workers and emergency responders (public and private sectors). Those training programs meet the requirements of OSHA regulation 29 CFR Section 1910.120 and NFPA Standard 472. Public Agency Training Programs Since 2001, we have provided Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training to federal, state and local government employees (including Local Emergency Planning Committees) through a contract funded by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency, at no cost to those agencies. Public Agency training may be requested through the EPA's First Responder Training contract, by downloading the training request form. Be sure to follow the instructions (send a copy to the designated state coordinator and a copy to EPA/McKinzie). All training requests will be confirmed when funding has been secured. |

Private Industry Training Programs McKinzie provides training for private industry and public sector organizations. Arrangements for training private industry workers may be made directly with McKinzie or through open registration classes.
